Monica Jordan is a high school art teacher by day, but by night she is a collage artist — ripping, cutting, and layering tiny scraps of paper to create dynamic paper paintings. She finds inspiration in many forms and enjoys creating portraits, animals, pop culture references, and the like. An Arkansas native, Monica is particularly drawn to the landscape of the Natural State. She grew up in a small, sleepy town nestled in the Ozark Mountains. Her appreciation for the beauty of her home state is especially apparent in her series of works based on beloved locations on the Buffalo National River.
