There are a lot of analogies between knitting and everyday life and relationships.  It is no surprise when we say our communities are “tightly knit” or “woven together.”  The bible tells us we have been “knit together” in our mothers’ womb by God.  When we face anxieties we talk about being “unraveled” or “torn apart.”  Knitting is a metaphor that helps me process the sometimes difficult realities of life in a beautiful way.
