Art Ventures presents a talk with Richard Hiroyuki Yada who was born in the Rohwer Arkansas Japanese American internment camp that was located in the same town where John L Newman was born and that is the subject of much of John’s art. Yada’s family is the only Japanese American family that remained in Rohwer after WWII ended and the internment camp closed in November, 1945. Richard Yada raised his own family in Arkansas and lives in Little Rock.
Art Ventures is pleased to bring this shared story of the struggle for human dignity to our communities in Northwest Arkansas and the many visitors to our arts corridor.
This event is free to the public. All are welcome. 6-8pm.
